Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-14
These terms are being finalised with legal advisers. Items shown like [THIS] will be completed once TROOV's company registration is finished.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], Nigeria ("TROOV", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the TROOV app you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
2. What TROOV is — and is not
TROOV helps people discover vendors and service providers, see their work, message them and record bookings. TROOV is not a party to any agreement between customers and vendors. We do not provide the services listed, employ vendors, set their prices, or process payments. Any payment happens directly between customer and vendor, outside TROOV.
3. Who can use TROOV
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must give accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One person, one personal account. Businesses must represent a real business or professional you are allowed to act for.
- To book, or to receive bookings as a vendor, you must verify a phone number you control.
4. Your content
You own what you post. You give TROOV a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, adapt (for example resize or transcode) and distribute your content within TROOV and to promote TROOV, for as long as it is on the service. You can delete your content at any time. Only post content you have the right to share, including music and images.
5. Community rules
You must not use TROOV to:
- scam, defraud or mislead anyone, including fake listings, fake prices or fake reviews;
- harass, bully, threaten or impersonate others;
- post hate speech, sexual content, graphic violence, or anything involving minors;
- offer illegal goods or services, or services that require a licence you do not hold;
- share other people's personal data without permission;
- spam, scrape, or interfere with the app or other people's use of it.
You can report posts, comments, reviews, messages and profiles, and block anyone, from the app. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without notice where needed to protect others.
6. Bookings
A booking in TROOV is a record of what a customer and vendor agreed. Vendors are responsible for the services they offer, their prices, availability and any licences, taxes or insurance. Customers and vendors are responsible for agreeing details, payment and cancellations between themselves. Prices shown in the app are set by vendors and may change.
7. Reviews
Reviews can only be left after a completed booking and must describe a genuine experience. Vendors may reply publicly. We may remove reviews that break these terms, but we do not edit them to change their meaning.
8. Verification
Phone verification confirms you control a phone number; it is not a recommendation of a person or business. Optional identity or business checks are reviewed by our staff from the documents you provide and do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of anyone's services.
9. Intellectual property
The TROOV name, logo and app are owned by [COMPANY NAME]. You may not use them without permission. If you believe content on TROOV infringes your rights, email trouveworld@gmail.com with the details.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account (see how account deletion works). If you have open bookings, you will be asked to resolve them first. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law.
11. Disclaimers and liability
TROOV is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the services vendors provide, for agreements or payments between users, or for content posted by users. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to TROOV is limited to [LIABILITY CAP]. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are important we will tell you in the app and ask you to accept them before you continue using TROOV.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If a dispute arises, contact us first at trouveworld@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it. Otherwise, disputes will be handled by [COURTS / ARBITRATION — e.g. the courts of Lagos State].
